Hi, My Name Is Bob...

And I play in a band called The GO. Some people call me Bobby. I've got all types of ideas in my head concerning music, culture, rock music culture, artistic expression, and all things that relate to. I used to be frightened of outer space (and inner). Once, I thought about gravity and I was upset for 6 months. At that time, I was also thinking about my own brain and how it functions with levels of chemicals that doctors can't seem to get a grip on. I was paralized with fear for another 6 months. I grew up in middle class, suburban America, surrounded by white people. My 3 best friends were Asian, wasp, and Jamaican/Canadian. I am the typical European blend of French, English, Italian, German, and Prussian flavors ie., another wasp. 4 generations of my family have lived in Michigan, starting with Detroit and slowly branching into the suburbs. My grandfather was a successful visual artist who worked for GM, sketching autos, during the 1950s & early 60s. He became obsessed with horses, went nuts and tattoo'd himself from head to toe, concluding with an image of Jesus Christ on his forehead... then disappeared. My grandmother was working class, supporting 2 children, alone, and managed to keep her heart strong despite 3 deaths by pump faliure on her side of the blood line. I used to have 2 parents but they are both gone. My earliest memory of music is of Jimi Hendrix & The Beatles. My first musical instrument was the drums at 7. I aquired my first electric guitar at 14. I aquired my first bass guitar at 15. I wrote my first song at 16. I started my first group at 17 (also played my first show). I purchased my first recording machine at 18 and began to write songs with more focus. Age 20 - 23 I was shut away, in an upper flat, with panic disorder... which helped fine tune my ears for recording and sharpened my skills as a songwriter. At 23 I met Marc & John and decided to begin recording with them. We named the band The GO and ventured into the Detroit rock & roll scene. Many people have been involved with The GO... Matt Hatch, Marco Delicato, Dave Buick, Jack White, Matthew Smith, Steve Nawara, Anthony Selph, Dion Fischer, Danny Methric, James McConnell, Carey Loren, John Olsen, Scott Micholski, Chris Fachini, Kenny Tudrick, and a few others. I am currently recording producing an album called Howl On The Haunted Beat You Ride.

That's my story so far... pretty boring.
